We’re delighted to introduce Common Bond to Rejoicify listeners — a female vocal quartet from Peoria, Illinois whose music holds a special place in the early story of Rejoice Music.

Recorded in 1976, their sole album was only the second project ever captured by Rejoice Music. Over one intensive weekend at Golden Voice Studios in South Pekin, Common Bond brought together rich four-part harmonies and a full instrumental sound, with piano, bass, guitars, drums, and additional accompaniment giving their songs a warm and memorable foundation.

What makes this recording so special is not simply its place in Rejoice Music history, but the spirit it carries. Common Bond sings with a blend that feels sincere, polished, and deeply rooted in gospel tradition. Their voices have the kind of unity that makes a listener pause and lean in.
