Rejoicify is pleased to reintroduce Brothers of the Prairie, a male quartet based in Roanoke, Illinois. Known for their harmonious blend and traditional vocal style, the group released its only recording, The Master Calls for Reapers, in 1979.

The album features primarily a cappella performances, with piano accompaniment on select songs. Its twelve tracks include familiar favorites such as “The Longer I Serve Him,” “Something Beautiful,” “Through It All,” “Sweet, Sweet Spirit,” “Keep on the Firing Line,” and “The Family of God.”

This recording captures the simple, heartfelt sound of traditional male quartet singing. We are grateful for the opportunity to preserve this meaningful piece of gospel music and share the close harmonies of Brothers of the Prairie with Rejoicify listeners.
