In 1973, brothers Brad and Brace Wieland, originally from Bay City, Michigan, released an album titled Maranatha. The album featured mostly original songs written by Brad and showcased a fresh musical approach that resonated deeply with younger listeners of the time. Contributions came from Barb Knochel, Lee & Carolyn Schamback, Blaine Wieland, Marilyn Schamback, and Dawn (Wieland) Barr.
Their second release, Selah, expanded both their musical circle and creative reach. Brad and Brace were joined by an impressive group of collaborators, including Barb Knochel, Regan Wieland, Blaine Wieland, Gary Ringger, Denny Virkler, Steve Reinwand, Tom Rutledge, Kris Leman, and Curt Gramm. Together, they continued exploring rich harmonies, thoughtful lyrics, and instrumental accompaniment—particularly guitar.
Rejoicify is thrilled to bring these remarkable albums back to our listeners, inviting a new generation to enjoy—and rediscover—the music of Brad and Brace.
